After starting to collect art at the age of 14 years, he began to advise and broker deals since his late teens. He is recognised for his extensive work as art advisor for major private and corporate collections as well as his contributions to institutional projects. Karol has received critical acclaim for his exhibition “Tracey Emin | Egon Schiele:

Where I Want to Go” at the Leopold Museum in Vienna (2015) and has collaborated with renowned institutions worldwide, including the Neue Galerie (New York), Schirn Kunsthalle (Frankfurt), Pinchuk Art Centre (Kyiv and Venice), and the Venice Biennale. His institutional contributions extend beyond curation; he played a key role in the research for the Richard Gerstl retrospective (NYC, Frankfurt, Vienna, 2017/18).

In September 2024, he organised the opening of the a new museum in Bergamo, gres

art 671, produced by Fondazione Pesenti and Italmobilare Investment Holding, with the major historical solo exhibition „Marina Abramović: Between Breath and Fire“ to great critical acclaim. It was named by 100 art professionals as one of the top 10 exhibitions in Italy in 2024 by Finestre sull’Arte.

He is currently working on two other private museum projects and is also active board member for several internartional collections, including Collection Aldebaran (Madrid).

As an art dealer, Karol brings over 25 years of experience and has successfully placed historical works by artists such as Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Egon Schiele, Kees Van Dongen, Chaim Soutine, Andy Warhol, Georg Baselitz, Tracey Emin, Marina Abramović, Anselm Kiefer, Takashi Murakami and many others in various esteemed collections globally.
